Educate. Empower. Live.

One of the most valuable benefits of being a member is that a person has access to many other people who have experienced problems with their ostomy, have found a solution and are willing to share their experiences with other ostomates. The QLA also publishes a newsletter called Horizons. The newsletter includes articles on many topics such as how to deal with intubation and gas problems, pouchitis, nutrition and often has a column called "Ask the Doctor." In addition, every year the QLA sponsors an annual educational symposium, which is devoted to learning and fun.
