Free Info Packet

Want to know more? Let us mail you a free information packet.

Our team at the Continent Ostomy Center of Palms of Pasadena Hospital is especially sensitive to the anxieties of some one facing surgery or recovering from a major operation and we want to support you every step of the way. This is done in many ways.

It starts with extensive education prior to surgery so don't hesitate to contact us for an educational packet which supplements this website.

Keep an eye on our calendar of events as we host educational seminars around the country to inform people about the Barnett Continent Intestinal Reservoir (BCIR). At our seminars, we have BCIR representatives - sometimes our surgeon - and other BCIR patients available to answer your questions.

We have found that by corresponding with the experts, our patients will go a long way in learning about day-to-day life with an internal pouch such as the BCIR. We can supply you with contact information including phone numbers and email addresses of individuals who have converted to a BCIR from a failed j-pouch, Kock pouch, or an ileostomy. We also have a large group of patients who opted for the Barnett pouch as their first/primary operation as a result of unresponsive Ulcerative Colitis (UC) or Familial Polyposis (FP).

Don't forget to visit our Facebook, Twitter, and participate on our monthly chat sessions. These are a source for on-line support and discussions.

The Quality of Life Association (QLA) is a non-profit nationwide association aimed at meeting the special needs of the continent ostomate and to educate others of the latest advances in ostomy options. We do hope you will consider membership and join us at a future educational symposium.
